How We Rate Sportsbooks

    Every score on this site comes from the same testing process. We open and fund real accounts, place real bets, and request real withdrawals before a single rating is published — no operator pays for a position in our rankings.

    We currently track 10 web3 sportsbooks and re-test each one at least twice a year, or immediately after a licence change, a payout complaint pattern, or a major platform update.

    The six rating factors

    Crypto deposits & withdrawal speed (25% of the score)

    We fund a real account on every site we rate, deposit from a self-custody wallet, and time a withdrawal end to end. Sites that settle on-chain in minutes score highest; anything that stalls payouts or silently adds manual review loses points.

    Trust, licensing & KYC policy (20% of the score)

    We record the operating licence (or the absence of one), whether identity verification is triggered at signup or only at a withdrawal threshold, and how transparent the terms are about account limits and closures.

    Odds quality & market depth (20% of the score)

    We compare posted lines on major football, basketball, tennis and esports markets against a reference book to estimate the effective margin, and we count live markets, in-play depth and settlement speed.

    Bonus value after wagering (15% of the score)

    Headline bonus percentages mean little on their own. We model the realistic value of each offer after rollover requirements, minimum odds, market restrictions and expiry windows.

    User experience & support (10% of the score)

    Wallet connection flow, mobile performance, bet-slip behaviour under load, cash-out availability, and how quickly live support answers a real question about a pending withdrawal.

    Player feedback & track record (10% of the score)

    We monitor public complaint threads and community forums for repeat patterns — voided bets, delayed payouts, unexplained closures — and we downgrade sites where issues go unresolved.

    How the 1–10 score is calculated

    Each factor is scored from 1 to 10 by the tester who ran the account, then weighted as shown above and combined into the single rating you see on our sportsbook reviews and on the homepage ranking table. A second editor reviews the evidence — screenshots, transaction hashes, support transcripts — before publication.

    What can disqualify a site

    We remove a sportsbook from our rankings outright if it refuses a verified withdrawal without cause, changes bonus terms retroactively, or operates a market we cannot verify on-chain. Removal is not reversible until the operator resolves the underlying issue publicly.

    How we make money

    Some outbound links to sportsbooks are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up. Commission rates play no part in scoring or ranking order, and our testers do not know the commercial terms of the sites they test.     Responsible gambling

    Every review assumes an adult audience betting with money it can afford to lose. We note deposit limits, self-exclusion tools and cool-off options in each review, and we score sites that hide these tools lower on user experience.
